Kelly & Kelly Architects was established in 1980 with the father and son team of John and Gary Kelly. Working primarily in the residential market, the firm garnered a reputation for providing quality designs and service to its clients.

As this reputation grew, so did the scope of their projects. As of today, Kelly & Kelly Architects has provided architectural services for many functions including schools, churches, multi-family housing, commercial offices and hundreds of private residences. During this time of growth, the firm of Kelly & Kelly has expanded its clientele base to areas in California, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Alabama, the Carolinas and Bahamas.

Through his years of practice in Stuart, Florida, Gary Kelly has developed positive relationships with local government, developers, and contractors to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects. Mr. Kelly has assembled a tight-knit production team consisting of one principal architect, three CAD technicians and an office manager. A positive interaction within this group maintains the company’s standard for quality and growth.

GARY R. KELLY, PRINCIPAL

Gary R. Kelly is an Ohio State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. Accomplished architectural design and leadership performance excelled Mr. Kelly to initiate the architectural design firm of Kelly & Kelly Architects in 1980. Since that time, Mr. Kelly has proved extremely competent in managing a successful business while providing quality architectural services. His personal involvement in all aspects of a project insures both quality design and proper time management.

Our clients and associates have come to recognize the “Kelly” signature of design.

 

HEATHER A. FEW, ASSOCIATE

Heather A. Few is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Science Education. Ms. Few has been a vital part of the Kelly & Kelly team. Since joining the firm in 1983, she has worked on countless projects varying from residential designs to commercial tenant interiors. Her experience and knowledge has gained her the respect of the many developers and contractors with whom our firm deals.

Heather has a great rapport with our clients and utilizes her skills to fine tune and detail the created design.

 

BRIAN R. BLACKBURN, ASSOCIATE

Brian R. Blackburn is from Charleston, South Carolina and the son of a building contractor. He graduated from Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Florida.

Brian started with the firm in 1987. At that time he brought 5 years of drafting experience, building design sense from his passion for all architecture and the joy of helping clients realize their dreams.

In 2004 Brian, his wife and son wanted to experience Clarksville, Georgia. There he built a northeast Georgia clientele as he continued to work with Kelly & Kelly Architects on a sub-contractor basis. With their son grown and a family of his own, Brian and his wife returned to Stuart in January 2013.

Brian is a great asset to the Kelly & Kelly team. His duties consist of site visits, client meetings, building design and CAD drafting.

His volunteer work in Georgia consisted of the following:

  • Chair: Northeast Georgia Habitat for Humanity Building and Site Selection Committee.

  • Board Member: The City of Clarksville Better Home Town

  • Chair: Design Committee and Façade Grant Committee

 

REED COLLINS, ASSOCIATE

Reed Collins is a seasoned architectural designer from Stuart, with a successful history at Kelly & Kelly Architects. He attended Jacksonville University and Indian River State College and has a degree in Architectural Design, Reed began his career at Kelly & Kelly in 1998 before founding R.C. Designs in 2003. After nearly two decades leading his firm, he returned to Kelly & Kelly in March 2023, where he is actively involved in all aspects of operations. Outside the office, Reed enjoys fishing, boating, and quality time with his son and family, appreciating the balance between professional endeavors and personal fulfillment.



 DIANA McDOUGALL, ASSOCIATE

Diana McDougall is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and has lived in Stuart since 1973. Diana has an Associates of Arts Degree from Indian River Community College and an Associates of Science Degree in Drafting Technology from Santa Fe Community College. Diana joined the Kelly & Kelly team in February of 1996.
